This comic farce tells the story of an Italian servant named Truffaldino, who, in trying to find a master who
will feed him to his heart’s content, ends up with not one but two masters at the same time. Meanwhile, the marriage between Silvio
and Clarice, which would have united two leading families in Venice , is put in jeopardy by an unknown stranger who means to make
off with a fortune. Chaos ensues as the families feud and Truffaldino tries to serve both of his two masters while dealing with the
passionate drama that unfolds. This play comes from the old tradition of Commedia del’Arte and its grand celebration of life as we
see old and familiar characters brought onto the stage to entertain us.
